Subdivision of Research and Continuing Education (SD/4)

SD / 4 plans, coordinates and controls research and innovation activities, as well as extension courses at IME. It prepares opinions and carries out a preliminary examination of the documentation related to research proposals or technological innovation projects. Coordinates the Institutional Research Council. Supervises courses, internships and extension activities carried out in other educational, research and production establishments by members of the Student and Technical-Administrative bodies of the IME.

In addition to the activities mentioned above, it is possible to highlight the important role of prospecting and incentive to develop research and projects of dual interest for the Brazilian Army and civil society, through its Section of Technological Innovation (SIT), as well as, technical and scientific cooperation between the IME and Teaching and Research Institutions in Brazil and abroad.
