The Institute

IME is an educational institution of the Department of Science and Technology (DCT) and provides higher education in engineering and basic research within the scope of the Brazilian Army.

It offers undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees for military personnel and civilians. It is part of the Army Science and Technology System. It cooperates with other institutions providing scientific and technical services. Its academic standards and research also contributes to the scientific and technological development of Brazil.
